Based in Calgary since 1988, HealthWorks works primarily in Alberta & Ontario, with consulting services extending to other provinces, making use a National Ergonomic consulting firm.  We provide value-added ergonomic services designed to assist our clients in meeting their goals to improve working conditions, enhance productivity, and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury.   Oil and gas, engineering, communications, technology, financial institutions, public utilities, law firms, government agencies, Healthcare, and non-profit organizations are among those who utilize HealthWorks Ergonomic consulting expertise. HealthWorks provides Ergonomic consulting to our diverse client base with a team of five consultants in Calgary and three consultants in Toronto with complementary skills and one administrative assistant.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have a CCPE, CPE, or the ability/ credentials to obtain the designation.The position requires:

  • At least 2-4 years of ergonomics experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Experience in various industries in a wide range of work environments
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Business management and planning skills including effective time management and organizational skills
  • Competency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Availability to travel throughout your province, as needed
Responsibilities:

Job Duties will include:
  • Delivery of existing HealthWorks training programs
  • Development of new programs, as needed
  • Conducting office and industrial ergonomics assessments
  • Conducting job demands analyses in various industries
  • Assisting clients with the development of full ergonomics programs, ergonomics strategies, furniture and equipment selection, etc.
  • Editing and review of consultant reports
  • Assisting with business development including networking, input on proposals, etc.
  • Communicating with clients at all organizational levels
  • Other administrative and management duties, as required
